Seaside is a small resort city located just 90 minutes from Portland at the end of Highway 26 on Oregon’s north coast. It’s known as Oregon’s first seashore resort community, and the city itself is developed on both sides of the Necanicum River. Seaside was the final stop on the Lewis and Clark Expedition, and the exact spot is known as The Turnaround located at the end of the Seaside Promenade. Seaside is a popular place with outdoor lovers, and the Saddle Mountain Trail is one of Oregon’s most well-known hiking and trekking spots with a path to the top of Saddle Mountain.
